So What Causes Panic Attacks?

Quite often it can be as a result of a stressful or traumatic event; for others it appears to ‘just happen out of the blue’, or, it can be a build up of long-term stress or anxiety.  Whatever is the cause, the experience can be very frightening and intense. It is also more common than you may realise.

Physical Symptoms of a Panic Attack

These are the most common physical symptoms and differ for each person.

  • overwhelming sense of fear, apprehension or anxiety
  • nausea
  • chest pains
  • breathlessness / hyperventilating
  • sweating
  • trembling / shaking
  • palpitations / pounding heart
  • fear of dying or passing out
  • dizziness / light headedness
  • numbness
  • dry mouth
  • the need to escape

Think of your Panic Attacks as a False Alarm…we just need to change the programming!

It’s good to know that if we were in a situation that was genuinely life-threatening, our autonomic nervous system works perfectly well (all that adrenaline, cortisol, nor-adrenaline etc preparing us to flee or flight, attack or fight, freeze or play dead or get into defensive rage) and our mind and body is in full survival mode.  Unfortunately, we just don’t want this happening when we are travelling on trains, at the cinema, at work, eating in a restaurant or just enjoying time out.

So what’s the answer?

How To Cure Panic Attacks

Even if the original cause is no longer present, the emotional signal for a Panic Attack may carry on and this is when someone can develop a fear of when the next attack will be, resulting in more panic and anxiety, avoiding places or even becoming agoraphobic.

Fortunately, with the advancement of therapies and treatments, there is better help available now, and the faster you do something about it, the faster you will gain personal freedom to really enjoy life without unnecessary panic, anxiety or stress.

By using a unique combination of Clinical Hypnotherapy / Clinical Hypnosis, advanced Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques and a revolutionary science based method called The Havening Techniques®  we gets to target the underlying, root cause(s) or trigger(s) behind your Panic Attacks.

Chris has worked with thousands of clients who suffered for months, years, quite often decades, with Panic Attacks, and more and more referrals are being made as a result to help their friends and family members too.

When you become a client of ours, you will also learn some of the skills and techniques to ‘take-away’ for yourself so that you too can practice feeling really good for no reason at all, whenever you choose, wherever you are!
